    I got a SZ340 as a present, but there were no recovery or drivers cd's in the package. Now I have formated and reinstalled windows, downloaded all the drivers from the website...but still have all sorts of troubles I can't figure out.

    I was wandering if there might be some good harted soul around here that might ISO the recovery cd's or drivers cds, or whatever cd comes with it and post it for download :eek:

    What are your issues? Most likely we'll be able to help. As for the disks, there were none that came in the box. The SZ340's had a recovery partition that allowed you to burn your own recovery disks or just recover the whole system, so the formatting of the whole system probably wiped out your recovery.

    Did the SZ3 series comes with Windows XP preinstalled?
    My SZ2 with XP has two recovery DVDs. Too much to upload/download. Posting them might be easier.

    If you don't really want all the preinstalled Sony apps I'm about to create an XP Pro OEM ISO with the drivers integrated into the image. If you can wait another 48 hours I'll upload it to rapidshare. It's all legal as you'll use your own XP serial key on the sticker under your laptop.
