    Hi,
i just got my bloatware laden z590CTO from sony. i wanted to do a clean install of vista home premium 32bit on it. I have a vista home premium disk from another computer, i assume i can just install from there and use the COA number on the bottom of my vaio?

the other thing is, if i make a back up of my c:windows\drivers and put it back after the clean install, will this take care of all my drivers? will i need to install additional software/drivers for the computer to recognize all the devices? if so does anyone have a list of the software i need to specifically install to retain all the functionality i.e. speed/stamina, OSD, etc... i assume i still have to install the video drivers.

is there a guide for people who have done this in the past?

if i can avoid it i'd like to not install all the software that came with computer as i'll be using alternatives. i.e. i don't need sony's music program or dvd burning program or webcam prgram, i'll be using skype, itunes and imgburn... so i want to avoid reinstalling things like that.

any pointers or guides. i did a few quick searches but only saw things for the 64bit OS.

On the first page of the Sony forum the top thread is called:
Sony Forum Sticky List of Popular & Useful Threads

Use that as a starting point and you are bound to find it.
