    Sony VAIO GRT260
    VAIO® P4 2.8GHz Notebook, 80 GB hard drive, DVD+RW & Giga Pocket® Video Recorder ( GRT Series ), XP home, 512MB DDR SDRAM, 16.1" sxga+ xBRITE.

Total $1649 + 3 year warranty I will purchase for $250 from sony.

Is this a good deal? I don't know alot about laptops but it seems to have what I want.

    Sounds pretty good.
    How is the battery life?
What is the rotational speed of the hard drive?

It has a nice big hard drive.
The DVD Burner will be nice.
THe xBRITE screen will be good.
Its got plenty of processing power.
