From time to time, i've seen people come in here ask for help and some were helped especially if you own an SZ and you are out of luck if you own another model other than SZ. Please moderators make this an SZ only forum and create one for the rest of us.... Guys don't take this personal but its too much... SZ_SZ_SZ_SZ. what about AR-FE-FS-FJ-UX-TX etc....
    thanks.

I can see where your coming with. However, the SZ series is the highlight of Sony's lineup right now. This means that most people who post on the sony forum own the sz series or are interested in the model.

As for a seperate forum that will never happen. NBR has always had this current format and will not include a special forum for one model.

If lots of people owned the other models then there would be posts concerning them. Since there isnt then that implies that most people who post here do not own other sony models. I doubt non sz owners are afraid of posting in the forum because they dont have the sz. They can post whenever they want. The real problem here is that not alot of people who post here have other sony models. As a result, if someone needs help with their non-sz system then no one will help them becuase they dont own one and cant give the best advice.

    I'm with you completely.

Actually after reading so much about the SZ, I would love to own one. If only I could afford 2 notebooks. It is surprising though that an ultra-portable, especially one at the SZ's price is the most popular Vaio model, at least judging by the forums.

ya seems SZ is the native here and rest aliens... maybe sz is popular but can it be popular than FS+FE+AR combined...i can bet NO! I went to notebookforums.com and dont really see the trend there...

and yeah, idea to have another forum for non-sz people is exhilirating... my hand goes up!!...anyone counting ?

Yeah the new model will be SZ3xx series... with Merom and an Nvidia 7600 with 256 RAM :p

(Not true at all, although it would be nice)

Heh, I'd consider selling my SZ150 if they did release SZ with Nvidia 7600... thats a noticeable step up from Nvidia's 7400. (Whether its worth the money is another thing though... plus cooling issues)

Personally I don't care much to get a Merom in my laptop, while I know it will increase the performance, it isn't that big of a deal. Generally I have enough power in it to do just about anything I need to do on a daily basis. Plus I have a desktop based on an overclocked Yonah as well, love it, silent yet good power.

Anyway, regarding the main topic, yeah there is a lot of SZ talk on here. For other laptops, I read and reply if I have knowledge about them otherwise not much to say.

It's too bad I can't get Vista Aero running on the SZ, I'd really like to try it out.

Well, as you said, Sony does sell other models, but none of them would seem to be as popular individually (at least not among the notebookreview forums crowd) as the SZ-series. That's just a fact of life, you're going to have an easier time getting suggestions and help from SZ owners because there are more of them here. But certainly whatever FE, AR, etc.-series owners there are around here could change that by being more active in helping out fellow owners of these models.
