    I was customizing a sony FE series notebook on sony style site. The page said :

    1 GB DDR-SDRAM (DDR2-533, 512 MBx2) Free upgrade from 512MB [add $140.00]

    How come this is a free upgrade? When you add it, the price ups by 140$

    i have been wondering about that myself babe, your guess is as good as mine

    they do it all over their website, i guess they calculate it after you hit "total" or "next" and go to the payment screen...

    meh i donno..im not going to buy off the website if i cant help it any ways...

    Not to excited at the idea of not having a clue when my lappie is coming in, wether it be a few days from order or two months from order....

    If you check the details of the free upgrade, it states that the promotional period is 2/28/06 through 3/13/06. Perhaps the information won't be corrected until tomorrow?
