    Is this worth fixing

    A freind of mine that owns a recycleing business gave me a sony notebook computer model PCG-FX215, it still looks to be in great shape. the power cord when plugged into the back of the computer is loose I think it needs to be soldered or replaced and also the down arrow button sticks in the down position. does anyone have an idea what these units cost new and is it worth fixing.
