    Hi there,

    I have a Sony Vaio VGC-LS1 machine.

    1. I upgraded its memory to 2GB @ 667 MHZ from 557......would it help.....2X 1GB Samsung modules @667.........was it a smart move coz the modules were lying idle.

    2. When I run the command msinfo32 I get I/O, IRQs, Memory address errors......Sony support says its coz the memory needs to reseated??

    3. Its got a 250 GB WD Drive, I want to perform a low-level zero fill format using WD software......... http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?groupid=606&sid=30&lang=en..........

But the Boot CD wonÂ’t work......hangs on startupÂ…..DOS.

I shall be grateful if some one could help,

    Thanks in advance,

Sony support is of no help!!
