I have a few (issues) with my new laptop.

First of all im running vista, and when i either shutdown, restart, hibernate or sleep the time it takes to shutdown is never constant. Sometimes it takes 20 sec. other times several minutes. Its the same with the rest of the power functions (sleep, hibernate) Anyone knows why i am experience this??

When i resume from sleep my brightness is not always the same as it were before sleep??

I am also experiencing loosing my network connection from time to time. Is this a problem with the new intel card?

Thats all for now, thank you for a great forum

    Best regards

For the Network connection, you might want to try to register your connection. The VAIO Smart Network icon is on the bottom right
    - right click the icon
    - show main window
    - expand your connection and click on setting
    - click on advanced setting to create new/manage connection
    - follow the instruction

About the brightness, I never experience that. I have set the brightness on the power option.

    Good luck!

for the shutdown problems. try disabling some start items to make shutdown faster. And for the brightness try changing you powe settig or cehck Vaio power managment set it to your appropriate brightness by by default it think it sets to automatic depends on you power plan.
