I had before an VGN-FS660 1.73 Centrino, 1GB ram and besides the problem of multitasking the laptop performed always well. I switched to VGN-FE590, Centrino duo 2.16, 1GB ram, NVIDIA 7400 card.
I am trying to play back IMAX WMVHD DVDs and although it played back in the previous Vaio, in this one it simply does not play back. It appears a black screen and that is it. I tried to play it back manually from the files and although it opens the trailers, the main video do not. I disabled the antivirus, disabled the second monitor and the problem persists. Of course, as always, the Sony support does not help. They work as robots making the list of questions they have in a scrip and do not know what to do. (as it always have been since I owe sony gear, now for 30 years)
    Any hint?
    Thanks in advance
