    hi i have a fe 21m, duo core. 1.66, 1g ddr2 ram, 7600 128mb.

    now can i upgrade my cpu to a duo core 2? if so is this gonna be expensive?

    also does anyone know is there are any 160g hd which run around the 5600rpm or faster?

    You may be able to upgrade, but you will need to check the Sony website, and make sure that a BIOS update supports the new processor. You will probably need a BIOS update in order for the motherboard to recognise the new processor. It should state something like "Merom Support Added" or "Core 2 Duo Support Added" in the details for the BIOS.

    If the BIOS does support the processor, then and you decide to upgrade, you should be aware that it will void the warranty of the notebook.
