To all who have been wondering. I wondered over to my local Sony store that happened to have the new Vaio S 13 and 15 inch in stock. I was able to open the settings on both the Vaio 13 and 15 and lo and behold I believe it is the Kepler Core with 384 Cuda cores. I took a picture and hopefully it will post below (as I have not posted images before) It just appears to be a bit underclocked.

    Cheers!

    Awesome, thanks dude :D

How was the LCD screen on the 13.3? Any personal experience on how it compares to the Z?

    thank you for this.

please keep in mind though that gpus have been categorized wrongly before, so lets not treat it as the all knowing truth.

with that being said, vaio S has few vents so it would be crazy to put the hotter fermi in there! if kepler is indeed more cool(?) it just makes logical sense. we will have to do some testing, but not much out there with 640m le.

Someone ran GPUZ on the S15. It is indeed Kepler - showing 384 cores. I'm ready to order the S15 :D

I would say the screen has not changed any from the sandy bridge version. I would say that the 13s screen is not as nice as the Z or the 15s. But that is only my opinion. Anybody else care to comment?

You really need to go see for yourself if at all possible, as screen quality is in the eye of the beholder. I must say that the S13 1600x9 is much nicer then the S13 13x768, and the Z is nicer then the 1600x9.

You could compare sandy bridge version screens since those are easier to find in stores. If you want gaming on the go, then the S is definilty the better choice.

1600x900 is a nice resolution on the 13.3 but personally not sure if I need a full hd or not now hmm.

Nice find and thanks for sharing! Is it a TN display panel in the Vaio S Premium?
