    Japanese Vaio

    hi all

    I have Vaio VGN SZ73B
    Intel Core2duo T7200, RAM 1GB, Geforce go 7400, fingerprint, n webcam

    the problem is japanese Windows Vista made me mad.
    then i decided to downgrade to XP, but OMG, my laptop was collapsed. WinXP cannot recognise keyboard, VGA,LAN, wifi and all Vaio facility such as webcam, fingerprint etc.

    now my laptop back to japanese Vista again, and i`m going crazy because it is very difficult to install
    ge force go 7400 (Vista can recognise my video chipset as intel 945 GM Express Chipset),
    fingerprint and
    webcam.

    actually i have neighborhood friend who has same vaio as mine. But i dont know how to make DVD backup because japanese Vaio is "totemo muzukashi des..!!!). It is very difficult to understand japanese letter such as kanji and katakana

    is there anyone can help me??

    I install windows xp with service pack 2. If the keyboard is not working that is quite strange as i got it to work in both 101 english keyboard and 106 japanese keyboard default windows drivers.

    Use downgrade SZ drivers from here. Might work with SZ73 (SZ5?)

    Basically everything you need is on this forum somewhere but that should get you started.

    As for trying to reinstall Vista if you don`t have or created the recovery disc then you will need to find the orignal sony sz vista drivers and application which i am not sure if it online or maybe order them form sony.

    thank you for you driver link, now my vaio has been downgraded by Windows XP. and only web camera cannot recognised..
