    Hi :)

Recently I have upgraded to Win7Pro x64 EN on my Z90US, everything work like a charm except for the keyboard. I got Japanese keyboard and even though I have installed the Japanese keyboard and IME in Win7, the layout doesn't match. The Japanese specific keys don't work (e.g. kanji switch) and also the Shift+key is different. E.g. when I want to write &, than ^ comes out.

    Any help please?

    Thank you,
    eM.

When you say you have installed the Japanese Keyboard, do you mean that in Device Manager under Keyboards it says "Japanese PS/2 Keyboard (106/109 Key)" or is it Japanese inside Region and Language?

In order to use keyboard with Japanese layout, you need to have Japanese keyboard installed in both, Device Manager and Region and Language.

On the Device Manager, you don't have to add Japanese keyboard, but change your current "Standard PS/2 Keyboard" to "Japanese PS/2 Keyboard (106/109 Key)".

In case you don't know the procedure, right click that "Standard PS/2 Keyboard" and choose Properties, switch to Driver tab, click [Update Driver...] button, choose [Browse my conputer for driver software], click on the bottom [Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer], uncheck the "Show compatible hardware", then finally choose "Japanese PS/2 Keyboard (106/109 Key)" on the right side Model list, click [Next] button, choose [Yes] when warning pops up. That's about it.
