    All,

I'm having difficulty with Java when running in Speed mode (using Nvidia graphics). By problem I really mean total can't-use-it disaster.

When using Internet Explorer, if I go to Tools > Sun Java Console, I get a black screen that looks as if the monitor resolution has changed to 640x480, and nothing works (no key presses, no CTRL-ALT-DEL, nothing). I have to power down and restart to get back to life.

Even as I was uninstalling Java through Add/Remove programs, I got the black screen during the uninstall process (though it seemed to complete the uninstallation).

I switched over to Stamina mode and I haven't had this problem, but I think I'm using a different Java version than what was installed.

Has anyone else experienced this? Or would you be willing to test the Tools > Sun Java Console while running in Speed mode?

    Thanks in advance,
