I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ221E Laptop running Vista. Every time that I type in MS Word 2007 or MS Mail, the cursor jumps from the line being typed to another line or even to a subjest heading. Any ideas as to how to cure this problem would be gratefully received. jhmil.

Could be your hands are brushing against the trackpad as you type. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the F, but there's no easy way of disabling the Z's trackpad - hopefully not the case with the F? Every other laptop I've had in the last 6 years had a simple hotkey to do this.

Hmmm. A quick search shows that there might not be a hotkey: Disable trackpad on Vaio F

If you use an external mouse, it's not so bad to disable the trackpad once and forget about it...until your mouse stops working or is lost. Then it's a bit of a pain :)
