    Querying owners of the new i-series chip Z11's. Just how loud is this thing in a quiet room? Are you satisfied with your purchase?

    to be honest, most of the time, i can't hear it at all..even when i put my ear 1cm from the fan. Sometimes..like while im typing this, and having 13 tabs open, a virus scan going on, a movie playing in the background amonst other things, i can hear it but its barely audible. I own the i7 chip and i'd say this is by far the greatest computer i have ever used. Runs so far virtually everything i've thrown at it.

    I find it quiet most of the time...it gets loud when playing games like Crysis.

    very quiet except like that other user says, u can year it 1' from your ear. The fan goes full on with games though.

    It's a lot quieter than my old Z. I can't hear it most of the time, when I am in a quiet room it's barely audible when I am just browsing the web and doing basic tasks.

    It can be a bit a bit noisy when doing a full system scan for example, but if you are working in a quiet environment it will be ok.

    Not as quiet as my MBP that replaced it but unless you hear for it, you wont hear it.

    Very quiet w/ simple tasks like surfing or word processing. Super loud when doing any benchmarking or gaming.
