This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hi All...Been a lurker for a while, only because it seems that all roads point to this forum...well so to speak anyway. Many searches on laptop issues that I have had in recent past have led me to a thread or two in this forum so I figured it'd be cool to join and maybe eventually contribute as well as learn.

    Anyway, thanks all for the help you've all unknowingly provided me as well as probably countless others and I look forward to a "not lurking" status. :rolleyes:

    Oh, BTW, no replies or welcomes necessary...just wanted to be polite and not jack another member's thread.

    I was very active on notebookforums.com when I had Acer laptop. Large community there. Then I got Asus and stopped going to forums (it just worked, there was nothing to talk about, nothing exciting either). And then I've got Sony. And suddenly there is only one place (here) with big enough community for the brand. So here I am. This is indeed a "place to be" for notebook/laptop users.

    A newcomer here too. I basically found myself reading this forum because it was pretty much the only place to find good info on the Vaio series notebooks, especially the new SR3x and 4x models. And now that I've gotten the computer, I think I'll stay. Some very good, solid information here and if (well, when) there's a problem I'll probably get help for it.

    Same here.

    I was doing some research before buying my VAIO FW (which arrived today), and usually the first Google result pointed to this site. I was a passive user for the first month, but then I registered, and here I am.

    This place is helpful indeed. :)
