Just got my F-12 yesterday, what are your screen settings?

I got a USDM VAIO F-12 with the 1080 display, and I have found the screen text to be harder to read that my previous laptop. Please note, I have 20/5 vision, and I run a CAD program on dual 17" 1280x1024 displays all day at work, so my eyes are not the issue. My last laptop is a HP 17" 1440x900 with the dual lamps, and it is crisp as hell, and has great contrast between lights and darks. I'm sure it is just a setting that I can adjust, but I am a total noob to Win7, so I'm not really sure what would work best. Maybe I just need to use it for a couple days to get used to it. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
