I have noticed the battery life is not too good. Since I got it I saw the f series on line has anyone seen both of them in person. I got a couple weeks I can send this one back.

F is higher quality + around the same performance. And you should have read more about it online. It is a known thing that the E series have really poor batterylife. The F is a bit better.

I kind of wish i saw the F series before I got the EC. I think I had gotten to the point of I had been looking for awhile for a new laptop and thought the sony would be good.
I know I am well with in Sonys return policy I am wondering how quick I will get a credit back or I would how they would work if I told them I want to swap for the F series since the battery life is no good on this one.

It's worth exploring if you're not going to be happy with the E. The F feels less like a cute toy to me. It looks a bit more grown up. But, if they decide to make a flashy deeeeeeeep red, I could be convinced.

On the F? It's matte smooth. Not textured or shiny smooth.

That seems to be the same as the EC. Not sure what bugs me more the battery or the textured touch pad it is very weird for me to feel a texture when i am using the pad.

I didn't like the textured pad, on any of the lappys I was shopping. Battery life bothers me less.
