    something you can put your notebook in and connect it to the station....

    it provides usually more ports and saves you time, you don't need to connect printer scanner anymore, just pop your NB in and you are fine =)

    There's already a docking station for the Z? Or is it universal?
    Sorry I'm not familiar with docking stations.

    The Z was announced with a docking station in Japan and it looks like they're making it available everywhere. Sony makes docking stations specific to each model.

    it connects like a doc...

    Just kidding, there is a little connector that plugs into the Z when pushed in the docking station...

    Well it does offer you more ports and saves you hassel as I said above...
