Just posting my first impressions on the SZ350BP (Brazilian model).
- The config is very similar to the american SZ320, but the HD is 100GB and there is no edge modem.
The pros:
- Very light and stylish indeed
- Everything works perfectly. No dead pixels
- After a few days, I don't find the keyboard strange anymore
- I bought the neoprene casing from sony and the bluetooth mouse - both are great
- The space key works correctly when pressed on the sides
- The power brick is correctly grounded - no static on the palmrest
- Windows Vista Express Upgrade available
- Everything that has already been said - dual video card, fingerprint reader, etc...
The cons:
- The power brick is bigger and heavier than it should be
- The battery lasts 2.5 to 3 hours with regular use. Serious optimization has to be done to achieve better than that.
- The battery did feel loose. I corrected it by placing two squared velcro adhesives (the soft part of the velcro) at each side of the notebook power connection pins. Now, when I put the battery in place and lock it, it doesn't move at all.
- The fan is almost always on, but it doesn't sound as loud as some people advertised.
- I HAD TO PAY 3,450 dolars for this computer in Brasil. Sony imports it from Japan and my stupid government has A LOT of taxes on it. I just hate it!
Anyway, if you guys want to see any pictures, I'd be happy to post them here. Thanks!
