I went to Frys today and saw the Z, SR, and AW in person, here are my basic thoughts and initial impressions for those of you who may not have seen these yet.

    The Z
    -Awesome screen
-Very light for a 13 inch notebook (lifted it and then lifted the SZ that was next to it, Z is lighter)
-The Z 13 inch body is much lower and compact compared to the SZ 13 inch
-The font at the 1366x768 resolution is fine for those with not such great vision (tested 12 font arial on word pad)
-Looks very similar to the SR (black), (Im talking both came out of the same womb similar), but a little lighter silver in color than the SR
-Much quieter keyboard than the SZ, takes a little getting used to though

    The SR
-Average screen, seems like the SZ next to it had a much better screen IMO
    -Feels heavier than the Z
-Body details (keyboard, layout, etc) are almost identical as the Z, except the overall shape (size, etc) is that exactly of the SZ
-Darker in color compared to the Z, I actually like the SR better in terms of body color

    The AW
-Screen is awesome, it was next to a 17 inch Fujitsu (Fujitsu probably the best screen Ive seen) and was almost same in terms of color etc. with the Fujitsu just barely nudging it
-Screen resolution is still good even for those with not great vision, I tested arial 12 font on word pad and was good enough to work on with no strain, and for those that look at excel or school papers side by side, it will be perfect with enough room left over to also open up internet window for research on school or work at the same time
-The weight felt light when you think of its size (the Fujitsu at 17 inches felt like double the AW's weight) so at 18 inch, the notebook felt like same weight as a solid built 15.4 inch notebook
-Seems like a great desktop replacement/entertainment center, Im sure a blue ray DVD would look stunning on this screen (why even have a TV in your room if you have the AW) and resolution
-Keyboard and body details are pretty much same as the Z & SR

For those of you who havnt seen these machines yet and are on the fence on wanting one of these, definetly check them out before you buy.
As for me personally , I was impressed with the new sony machines and the changes in designs and have narrowed my new notebook choice to either the Z or the Lenovo T500 (Ill know in like 2 months because Ill have a travel schedule then which will affect my decision).
