    Just want the premium carbon casing and EDGE only - but where?

    Hi,
    I like the SZ a lot and i'm thinking of getting it...

    however, i don't need such speed and ram - is there anywhere that i can buy the 'premium' casing (weaved carbon casing) and EDGE so that it would be helluva cheaper (rather than sony's $3,000+)? That extra bright screen would be nice too.

    Sony store doesn't offer it - i googled it and couldn't find one.

    sz-270p at amazon. $1650. I just received mine in perfect condition.

    The 270p does not have the Premium Carbon as SZ-zer requested. The only model that comes with Edge and Premium carbon is 281 and the new 381x. You can get a Japanese model w/ premium carbon for cheaper but that doesn't come with EDGE. Your only option is still 281/381x.
