    K315z powering off,NAR,after 1-3mins

    My daughter brought the above laptop back home (I/we have had it for 8yrs) saying when she powered it up,on the mains,it would only work for 1-3 mins before powering off,not close down,power off.
    I checked and she was right.Power supply seemed ok and when I loaded the bios I realised the m/c had been running for 10+ mins.Loaded XP but,after 2mins it powered off.
    I then started XP in safe+networking mode and the m/c ran happily.I d/loaded files,used Firefox and apart from the display being small it ran as normal.However switching back to normal and it powered off.
    I then did a clean install of XP and that seemed to work but it was short lived.
    Has anyone any suggestions (apart from get a new laptop) :)
