    Anybody venture to guess if currrent SZ with Core Duo will be able to support a Kentsfield Quad Core? This article got me thinking that if we can upgrade to a Merom, would Kentsfield be too far of a stretch?

    no...Kentsfield is a LGA775 processor (aka Desktop processor), Merom is a 478 or 479 pin Notebook processor.

    anyway, quad core would kill power consumption anyway
