I'm looking for a wireless keyboard and mouse for my Z for use at my office. I like Bluetooth since I don't have to deal with the USB connector, but Bluetooth keyboard and mouse sets are getting fewer and fewer (Logitech only carries 1 model in their latest product catalog!).

Since the new USB connectors are so tiny and can be left in the USB port all the time, should I just go with a regular wireless set?

from personal experience, bluetooth keyboard/mouse are less precise and more error prone than regular wireless. Not sure why though. I have a few of both, by the way.

Funny thing is, I have a Sony Bluetooth mouse which I use at home and every now and then it stops working and I have to muck with the Bluetooth settings, press the connect button or reboot to get it working again.

Hmmm maybe it's time to switch to regular wireless.

The other thing is, the USB ports on the Z seem a little sunken in. Will one of these even fit?

Yeah, that's one of the things I had so many problems with. Not that regular wireless is perfect but it does seem to maintain signal better and connection is instantaneous.

I'm using an old wireless mouse with a HUGE usb dongle, and it works just fine with Z

Strangely my old SZ680 never had a problem with the same Bluetooth mouse.

I'm also using a Logitech desktop with a big USB dongle, but I want to replace it so I don't have to plug it in every time I come to work (now that I don't have the docking station for my new laptop). Yeah, a big hassle plugging it in lol.

Speaking of which, Sony's docking stations are really the worst. After having the docking station for my previous S and then SZ, I finally decided not to buy one for the Z.

What I find most annoying about the docking station is the lack of audio connections, but that can be fixed with a USB sound card.

I use the Logitech MX5500 keyboard/mouse combo everyday with my new Z and my old Z.

Works great with the internal bluetooth module.

Just to confirm: you're using a unifying receiver, right? Otherwise two of your USB ports will be consumed by keyboard + mouse.

I use a USB hub (it's one of them Targus docks), and connect my devices to that. At home I just plug in one USB cable and all my devices get connected. I think it's got an audio connection too.

Been using a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse which is Bluetooth for over 2 years with my LG S1Pro dual built-in bluetooth receiver.

Only problem I had eas intrmittent connection which was corrected after a Bluetooth ddriver update.

My keyboard and mouse hook up great with the internal bluetooth. My problem is that I cannot connect my motorola HDS9 headphones or my Droid to the new Z. No such problem with my old Z???

Been using the Microsoft Wireless Entertainment 7000 keyboard and mouse with the built-in bluetooth and no problems. Love not having so many wires dangling around or usb dongles hanging off the Z12.

I'm using a Logitech Anywhere MX Mouse with my Z.

It's a great mouse, but I really hate how instead of having the mousewheel click as the 3rd mouse button, you have to press a small button under the mousewheel. Clicking the mousewheel changes between regular "clicky" wheel mode and smooth hyperscrolling. I am used to my Logitech G9, and it's hard to remember not to click the mousewheel like in all other mouses.
