The keyboard pattern, and even some of the letters, are "imprinted" on the glossy screen of this TXN25N.

I wrote to Sony asking what sort of cleaner or abrasive might take care of the problem, and received a droid-like response: "Here is the number for eservice, which will replace your screen." Out of warranty, it's hundreds of dollars.

Have you seen this sort of thing? Do you know what will remove the imprinting?

    Thanks!

I used to have this issue, it is very common. After I noticed it early on I started putting a piece of thin foam betwene keyboard and screen and it went away.

To get rid of the marks I used slightly wet microfibre cloth. I've also used iKlear afterwards to clean the screen (but I didn't have marks then, so I don't know if it will be more effective in taking them off). Good luck.

Thanks. Microfibre cloth didn't do the trick, even with toothpaste. However, your info suggests that SOMETHING will work, that the images are imprinted on the kb side. I would like the foam idea, but need something simpler (like raised dimples that keep the kb another mm from the screen).
