This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     hi everyone,
    i got a vaio sony laptop two weeks ago(VGN-A140B).it had winXP Pro. installed but i needed SQL server 2000, so i installed windows 2003 server as a second OS.but the problem is non of the keys like Volume controls ,bright control and even Eject of my DVD doesn't work.anybody can hlep me?

    SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition or SQL Server Desktop both run on Windows XP Pro, do you really need the Enterprise version on your laptop? If not, it might be easier to revert to Win XP and just use the MSDE version as I find it suits all my needs just fine anyway -- I don't think you'd be running a full fledged database server on a laptop (but I won't assume anything!)
