Hi I opened up my sony sz laptop and replaced the lcd screen because it was cracked, and now I don't hear any sound no more on my laptop. When you turn on the computer there is no sound at the vaio logo screen and takes a little longer than usual for screen to light up. I cannot hear any sound in windows. It says in device manager that the sigmatel high defintion audio codec has a problem. I opened up the laptop again to check and everything seems fine. I don't whats wrong, is the sound card busted?
