Laptop: Sony Vaio S Series, VPCSA35GG.

When I decided to turn on my laptop today, I found that it booted Quick Web Access. However I wanted to boot normally (i.e. Windows), but nothing happened when I press the Vaio or Assist button on the laptop. Furthermore, the laptop does not load up when pressing the normal Power button, and requires the closing of the lid and opening again. Which again reboots Quick Web Access. Even tried rebooting the laptop during load up, but apparently the Quick Web Access loads up before the system menu can appear. Even holding the power button for 8 seconds sends the laptop to sleep mode again and is a repeat of what was described above. I've tried taking out the battery and pressing the internal reset button, but nothing changed.

Is there a way to get into Windows OS from Quick Web Access? Is it because of a physical alteration to the laptop which is causing Quick Web Access to load up every time (maybe buttons aren't functioning properly? If nothing seems to be a solution, is there a way to reset/turn off the laptop (as it's always returning to sleep mode)?

    Thank you for your help.
