Hi everyone. I've been running my laptop on a monitor for the past couple months due to it having a very dark screen. I can still see everything with a flashlight.

As I was repairing a hinge on my laptop, I must've accidentally touched some cable and it broke the lighting of the laptop. What could it be? How do I diagnose what exactly it is? And what parts do I need/how expensive are they on Amazon? Thanks.

Is it possible to blow a fuse when you accidentally pull a cable? That's the moment when my laptop's backlight broke.

    Thanks for replying!

Certainly, if the battery was still in there while you were messing around. So many people unplug the power adapter but forget to take out the battery.
