The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    We see and will continue to see a lot of the same questions such as some owners asking why their factory fresh computer is so slow when they are unaware its bloatware or how to install XP over Vista, what type of ram to upgrade their notebook with, etc.

    Lets make some sticky threads or FAQs here, like DaniBui's excellent TZ XP installation guide. There was a Vaio TR FAQ at the siliconpopculture.com forums I really liked, very detailed, why not make that for some of the Vaio models here?
