    Hey Everybody

I just installed Windows XP on my Z (which I love by the way) and I want the computer to wake from sleep when I open the lid. I can't seem to find that option in the power management area. It is probally very simple, but I can seem to find any way to do this.

    Thanks for your help.

I don't think there is an option to make the laptop do that.

How do you set it in Vista? I can only find properties for lid closing, not opening.

under the advanced menu in the sony power management. I don't have vista on here anymore. I will look on my desktop that is running vista tomorrow.

I just looked through every single item under advanced settings and I don't see it.

This is one of the features i liked about my MBP, and I've been trying to find a way to get it to work on my SR.. but still no luck :/

I don't think your desktop will have the option, since it's a desktop..

I have the lid opening wake from sleep option in the power management in the Vaio control center. You can control what you want when opening or closing the lid...

What model do you have, and OS? Control Center and PwrMngt are updated to lastest versions for my model already, so no point in going to install it again...

Maybe the Z has a sensor that the SR doesn't have :/

I can only control what the laptop does when closing the lid...
