Nearly everytime I sleep or hibernate my computer for longer than 1-2 hours whenever I return to my computer the laptop cannot reconnect to the network and always has a limited connection. My only option at that point is to reboot the computer, which while quick, is really, really annoying.

Does anyone else have this problem. I am using a VAIO Z CTO, ordered in late June.

Perhaps your DHCP lease time (of the router/dhcp server) is too short, after waking up, the laptop wont get a new address. Try typing ipconfig /release * and ipconfig /renew *

You can also try to repair or disable and enable the network adapter. Hope that helps.
