    Hi!

I am a musician and I want a Sony Notebook for making music, becouse these notebooks are the only ones that have high quality sound chips on board with ASIO drivers.

    My question:

Is there a new Sony Notebook that has a LINE IN connector OR a MIC connector which is software-switchable to Line level?

    Thanks a lot!

you'd be better off getting a small external converter of high quality and a small 2 ch. preamp. There are several high quality compact components out there, all of which will yield a better result than using internal line amps and converters.

PLEASE, can somebody help me on this one?

I am not seeking for an external solution, becouse sony has built in HIGH QUALITY sound processing in their notebooks ( Sound Reality with ASIO support), normally found in external solutions.
