I recently installed a Logitech notebook webcam, which works fine on my desktop, but when connected to the laptop, after a few minutes, it just shuts down. The laptop then will not re-start unless I disconnect the USB cam. Am I drawing too much from the USB port?

Was it necessary to install software/drivers for your webcam?
    Maybe it's a system incompatibility.
You may want to try other peripherals just to be sure it's not a USB problem.

Just in case it was the drivers, I re-installed them. Other USB adaptors seem to work. Do you think if I place a dc-power ESB adaptor (like a hub) in the path it may help?
