    Hi All:

Just wondering the longest time that you have left your SZ models on.
for example, leaving it for P2P application to run.

For me, I turn it on Stamina, keeping system cool and let it run for 16 hours max. I have never gone further.

Was there any problem after that marathon?
    please share some experience :)

So I forgot to ask, what about the LCD screen?
What is the longest time have you left it on?

I regularly leave my laptops (including my SZ) turned on for days at a time and have never had any problems

I've had my SZ on for about 48 hours at one point. No issues, and not hot at all.

I have never had a problem leaving my SZ260 running for days. The one problem that I had was putting it into my briefcase on standby (not hibrenate) and whatever little shock, bumping the case around caused the notebook to go into active state. A laptop with that speed (and a sony battery) with no breathing room was very hot. I believe if I had not caught it in time, there would have been FIRE!!... I cooled my battery by the A/C vent in my car on my comute home and the bottom of the notebook was very very hot.

there is a preference that turns the computer on when the screen is opened. sony recommends keeping it off. that's what caused your laptop to startup

I run mine 24/7. The longest it's been on for has been about 2 weeks. I have no trouble with heat or reliability
