    That was smart.

Call Sony and they should be able to send you restore discs.

I'm new to Sony's, and I'm curious...how can we view the recovery drive? When i got my notebook, i immediately created the DVD recovery discs since i'm used to having the windows discs and driver discs included with my package.
    Thanks

Here is the reply from Sony Support desk:
    Code:
Thank you for contacting Sony Support.

I'm sorry that you're experiencing difficulties with the Notebook after formatting it. The Recovery CD/DVD for your model is not available from our Parts Center. I suggest that you send the Notebook to our service center, for recovery and reinstallation of the recovery partition.
And this is impossible more couse i'm on 12 000km from USA.
So if anyone have this vaio and want to help plz contact me

All you need is to obtain a Windows Vista Upgrade DVD to reinstall vista (using the product key on the bottom of your laptop). Once vista is installed, you can download the remaining drivers and software you need from sony's website.
