so i lost my 2 week old sony z12 this morning at 330am right when i got off work. while loading up my tools in the back of my work truck i placed the laptop on my bumper. i forgot all about it and took off for home. i realized i didnt have my laptop in the truck with me and finally remembered that it was on my rear bumper. my heart dropped and well yeah...

BUT i remembered my vaio came with a lost and found recovery thing from trackitback. it was on the back of my vaio i remember registering for it. i call them up reported it and gave them my contact number. they said they had a 85% return rate.

2 hours later i get a call, my laptop was found and trackitback will ups it to me asap. they said it was a little banged up but the laptop turned on and was asking for my pw.

i will be posting pics when i get it back. i know it was on the road and probably got ran over, well see how durable this carbon fiber thing really is.

THANKS TRACKITBACK i guess it really does work. oh it was in a VAIO neo Sleeve by the way

(UPDATE 1) i have yet to receive a tracking number. the rep told me he will provide me with a tracking for UPS once its shipped out. i wonder how much the reward money was since trackitback says they pay for all the expenses.

yeah while it was lost i was looking at the brighter side which was now a good reason to upgrade to the bigger ssd like i shouldve done in the beginning. i guess my question is since its all banged up can i use the ssd in teh banged up one and just buy another 128gb z12 and just add it on to make it quad?

Hmmm, new user giving glowing anecdotal "evidence" for services and products being the best thing since sliced bread in several different posts, and quoting sales pitches like "85% return rate"...
Now why do words like "astroturfing" and "shilling" spring to mind?

yeah i only signed up for it cause it was free also. if i can remember it was free for 1 year but then after i signed up i got a email from them a few days later saying i can get a year for only $8 or something like that which was weird.
