This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    nice spectrum of opinion.....

    lighted keyboard....definitely a must have for me, now that i CAN have it. before only on macbook pro. i may be a small minority, butt i am sick of the usb lights on the flexible stem...or tilting the screen to brighten the keys. like i am doing now.

    i also read that the heat issue has been improved.

    walt mossberg did a decent review at wsj.com of new macbooks. of particular note is that real world battery life looks excellent.
