I am trying to get some input about how to fix a battery issue on a Sony NR385e laptop I just purchased. It came with a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro 64bit. (Originally came with Vista Premium) The problem is that when unplugged from AC, it will go from 100% to 2% in 12 minutes, then after plugging in it will go to 8% in about 15 minutes, after which it declines while still on AC power to 0% over about 10 minutes and then jumps to 100% in 3 or 4 seconds. If left to low power hibernate and restart the laptop will run at an indicated 0% for a total of 30-35 minutes with music and a power hungry Clear 4G+ Wimax adapter running, or 20-25 minutes with ACPI disabled. In Batterymon, the battery shows about 80% capacity left and no APM bios power management. I believe the charger and battery are alright and that this is either a Software issue or an ACPI issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.
