Alright I'll bother you guys one more time......

This time you make the decision for me :) If given the choice between

    a) SZ650N/C T7500(2.2 GHz), 2 GB RAM, 160GB Hybrid Hard Drive and all the other things standard on the new SZ series for 1900$ shipped.

    and

    b) SZ680N06 T7700(2.4 GHz), 2GB RAM, 160GB Hybrid Hard Drive and all the other things standard on the new SZ series for 2000$ shipped.

which one would you choose? Is the Processor upgrade worth the extra 100$? Is there any other difference I don't know about between the two? It's a big decision laying down a couple of grand for a laptop, I'd appreciate any advice on which way to go...

Are you doing CPU intensive task?? if not the T7500 should be more than enough, even for gaming.

The premium you pay for the T7700 is really high, but the speed bump will be negligible. Considering how expensive the NB already is, I'd just stay with the SZ650 and the T7500. That's what I got on mine anyway. It just depends how much you value that last $100.

i didn't read your other posts, but that .2 increase won't be worth it unless your doing modeling or imaging, etc. work on your computer. For every day tasks and even gaming the T7500 should be more than enough.

I'd say it depends on whether money is an issue :)
For 'just' $100, I'd go for the 2.4 ... however, you might benefit more from adding 1 GB RAM (for a total of 3) :)

Like everyone else has said, the T7500 will be fine for anyone's need. Its more than powerful to run everyday tasks, and it will do well in processor dependant tasks too. Infact, a T7300 will also be fine for the majority of tasks, and if you can save money by going for that processor, it may also be worth it.

    Neither :)

I would make sure you get a fast 7200RPM harddrive.

You'll notice way more of that than .2Ghz more CPU or a hybrid harddrive.

No. Its not worth the $100. Get option A!!! Use the saved money to buy you some accessories like a usb mouse or backpack.

    My work here is done.
