    Hey, guys --
I only recently purchased my SZ-250 from PortableOne,
and I have a few questions about the pre-installed bloatware...
I could not do a clean install of Windows and its drivers,
considering I was severely physically incapacitated at the time
(I could not get to my desktop to research and download anything),
and I was impatient to start using my Vaio ...
So, what I went about doing was manually uninstalling some bloatware
via Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, and doing whole system
searches to simply send unscathed directories into the recycle bin.
Would anyone be so kind as to compile a list of most of the bloatware
that should be deleted off of my Vaio? At a glance, I see a whole bunch
    of DVD programs. Thanks much.

In addition, I read at a glance about something about USB power leaks in the SZ?
Any other problems/concerns I should know about my SZ before I keep it for good?

Thanks for your time and patience.

Sixty some odd view and no replies.
Why does nobody ever respond to my topics? ;(

    Okay, here's what I found:

Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2003
    ClicktoDVD
    DVGate Plus
    Image Converter
    SonicStage
    Roxio

Moreover, I am confused as to how is it that 30GB's of space have already been occupied on my notebook. Is this what you guys mean by bloatware? It's not simply software that has to be installed, it's something much more?

I suspect that we cannot remember what we deleted because there was so much of it to remove. I deleted all of the above (that you wrote)

Well I dont have your notebook type, but i know that Sony always reserve 7GB or more of partition for system recovery. You can reclaim that 7GB or more by FIRST creating a RECOVERY DVD and do a complete system restore and dellete the recovery partition.

zii, so you completely uninstalled everything except for the necessary drivers?
