    Does anyone knows the manufacturer and the model of the 256GB SSD that comes with VGN-Z890 CTO?

    Guess it's still Samsung, the fastest 1.8" SSD available in the world for a Raid 0 setup inside a laptop. (Note that Intel X18-M cannot do better.)

    The 256GB SSD is a single drive, not in a RAID configuration. The Samsung will beat the Intel in write speed only, I think.
