    Hi!

I have been struggling for weeks not to get a Sony Vaio VGN-NS31M/S work well with Windows 7.

I bought the laptop with Vista but got a free Win 7 Upgrade. After upgrading from Vista to Win 7 the computer work OK for a while but soon became totally useless.

I therefore reinstalled the computer with the Win 7 disc I got from Sony. The installation went OK but now I have many problems.

    1) I cannot get Vaio Update to work. I have installed the latest version I could find at Sony Support. When I start Vaio Update the first time it says that there is an update available. I click OK for accepting the upgrade. But nothing ever happens so I cannot use Vaio Update since it never gets updated (and using it without the upgrade is impossible). I have search for solution but have not found anyone helping me resolve this.
What should I do to get it working?

    2) The touchpad is not working with Win 7. When typing on keyboard suddenly text disappears, the cursors is moved even though I'm not touching the pad. Have seen dozens of suggestion on how to solve this but none working. My guess is that I need a new driver but cannot find any.
What to do? What to do?

    3) Next problem is that I keep loosing the wireless connection. Connection is up for about 10 minutes then goes down. I have to manually open network settings and reconnect. Connection is up another 10 minutes and then goes down again. Kind of worthless and a real pain in the ....
Wireless works perfect on other computers (with better OS, i.e. Win XP).
    Driver problem as well?

I most say that I'm really disappointed in the quality of Sony Vaio, Windows 7 and Sony Support in general.

Feels like this is the last chance for getting this computer to work. Otherwise I'll have to buy a new laptop with better quality and support.

    All suggestions most welcome!
