I've tried googling but figure this would be a better place to ask. For some reason the VAIO Control Center won't let me map Snipping Tool to one of the keys. Not only does it not show up in the explorer but it also wont recognize it as a program when typed in manually. Its an .exe and it exists in the System32 folder and I just don't get why it won't work.

Is there a way to get this running?

Is there to bypass the VAIO Control Center and map them manually?

I have another question about the S1 key. I have a Vaio FW351J and cannot figure out what happened to my S1 key. I press it and literally nothing happens. This also happens with the vol - and + buttons. Everything else including the play, pause, buttons work fine. I've tried going to the control center and changing what the button does. Nothing works. Help!

could be that the vaio event utility isn't starting up anymore.

Try reinstalling it, and if that doesn't work, then try reinstalling the setting utility series as well. If that doesn't work either, then try reinstalling the entire Vaio control center package :p
