    Mass Storage?

    Hello every one,

    When I use XP MCE 2005 Retail CDs to install OS on my VGC-LS1 machine, I face 2 issues?

    Despite that I install the required Drivers, downloaded from the support site.

    1. In the Device Manager I see a Yellow icon with Mass Storage Controller??

    2. When I click on My Computer the Removable drives i.e Memory Stick Pro & SD/MMC are missing.... only see C as hard drive & D as DVDRam drive??

    This doesnt happen when I use the Recovery DVDs to install.........

    Why didnt Sony put the Mass Storage Controller Driver on their site??

    How do I fix this issues coz I want to use the retail CD to install XP MCE 2005 & not the Recovery DVDs.......

    I think you are missing some sort of drivers...Are you SURE that you installed all of them, including the CHIPSET drivers?

    Yes I am sure that I installed the Chipset driver.......
