    Im not sure if which one I whould get. Or get both? So I have 16gb extra of space for vids, pics, music, etc. Would it consume a lot of battery? If I have both plugged in at the same time will I have any problems???

    I don't believe you need to be concerned about battery use.

    I would be concerned with the transferrates I would get from memorystick. And whopping CPU utilization.

    I've never used it on TZ. I did on other laptops, based on that I guess you're better of using SDHC.

    Anyone tried using a Memory Stick HG card in there? Those cards supposedly can transfer much faster than SDHC, which tops at what 4MB/sec write?

    The SD card performance on TZ is very poor.
    It's very slow on all different speed of SD card.

    I have an 8GB HDSC card and it's slow, but it works. One thing that bothered me was whenever you wake the TZ up, it wants you to act on its detected presence (Open Folder, etc.) -- a pain in the ..s. But I'm sure there's a way to turn that off. :)

    It's the card reader itself, and the limitations of the USB speed on the TZ. It's not that USB is slow, it's that so many devices within the TZ are using it.

    Carlot, So you are getting the memory stick , okay goooood !

    Now, please tell us (using HD tune if possible www.hdtune.com) your speed !

    I am dying to know some performances of (fastest) card in TZ...

    I know some Sandisk Ultra series states 20MB/s (and really does at this speed using HDtune, but I think they were using the card reader or Firewire)

    I seriosuly don't think you'd have any problems with playing movie, they only use about 4-5MB/s at max?,
    well, I am not sure if can test Blue-Ray trasfer speed !

    very....roughly, any full DVD (say 8.5GB) running for 2 hours,
    can be expressed as 8.5GB / (2x60x60) => 8.5/7200 *1024 = 1.2MB/s
