    I'm getting a s580 and I'm hoping that I'm not the only one that thought of this idea but...

    is there some product out there that fits into the Memory Stick Reader slot of Sony notebooks that serves as a card reader for other types of media like SD or XD. similair to the ones that are in USB.

    e.g. Unknown brand 10 in 1 USB card reader.

    Not that I know of. I'd recommend a PCMCIA alternative, that's going to be more cost effective anyway, assuming something like what you want even existed.
