    Hi All,

When I bought an AR290G in November 2006, the maximum RAM memory was 2GB. The AR790U/B, the similar current model, has a maximum RAM of 4GB. Does anyone know if I can upgrade the AR290G RAM to 3GB or 4GB? I am finding that the 2GB RAM is usually maxed out with Vista Ultimate.

Also, I'd like to upgrade the 200GB 5400 RPM hard drive to the new Hitachi 320GB 7200 RPM 2.5 HD when it (hopefully) becomes available later this month.

Does anyone know if the AR290G CMOS will recognize 4GB of RAM and a HD larger than 200GB?

    Thanks!
    Ed

Is your Vista Ultimate the 32 or 64 bit version? If it is the 32bit version then it will only use about 3.2GB of RAM and there is no point upgrading to 4GB. The 64bit version will see and use all 4GB.

And yu will be able to use the larger 320Gb HDD
